Quick Summary / Abstract:
In 2016, Livermore Mayor, John Marchand, and the City Council officially proclaimed February to be Science and Engineering Month to recognize the many science and engineering related events and partnerships throughout our city. Many of these wonderful opportunities take place within and outside of the school day on our campuses.

The Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD) is a highly respected, national district model for engineering classes, and in collaboration with local business, community, and college faculty, science, engineering, and math events will be showcased throughout the month of February.
Resolution No. 028-19/20 has been prepared to encourage our District staff and students, along with the community as a whole, to observe February as Science and Engineering Month.
Fiscal Impact:
There is no impact to the General Fund. LVJUSD-sponsored events for Science and Engineering Month are paid through the Curriculum gift account; other events are sponsored by community and business partners and Las Positas College.
