Quick Summary / Abstract: Staff will present a summary of recent information made available by School Services of California regarding the potential impact of the Governor's "May Revise" on our District's budget for 2018-2019.
Background: Each May, staff presents information regarding the Governor's May budget revision.

In January of each year, the Governor submits a proposed budget to the California Legislature. This begins the debate between the political parties and between the Governor and the Legislature regarding the State's spending priorities.

In May of each year, following the April 15th tax deadline, the Governor submits a revised budget proposal to the Legislature taking into account any new information about the California economy and State tax revenue.

With approximately 90% of the District's revenue derived from the
budget of the State of California, we are intensely interested in and
impacted by the State's budget.
