Resolution of Intention to Accept Right of Way Property - City 052720.pdf
Quick Summary / Abstract: Staff is requesting land use actions in partnership with the City of Livermore to accept rights-of-way around Livermore High School to reflect current use and utilization of the campus in order to support campus construction.
Background: Implementation of Measure J improvements at Livermore High School (LHS) continues. As part of this work, encroachment permits will be requested through the City of Livermore (City). During the preparation of required encroachment permits, in consultation with the City, staff has identified several items of needed adjustment and clean up to current rights-of-way, further defined and clarified in Attachments A and B. These adjustments are being requested to reflect current LHS and City operations and in some cases long standing conditions.

Board of Trustee action is required in order to submit to the City of Livermore Planning Commission for approval of these adjustments, which will allow planned improvements at LHS. District staff has worked closely with City of Livermore staff to identify adjustments needed to clarify District easements and access. Staff continues to be grateful for this partnership.
Status Staff is requesting our Board of Trustees’ acceptance of property summarized below and legally defined in Attachments A and B.

1. City vacation of the right-of-way at the end of Cowboy Alley.

2. City vacation of right-of-way on School Street and offer of ownership to the south end of School Street.
Fiscal Impact This action does not create a fiscal impact.
