Quick Summary / Abstract: Staff will present an annual review of the 2019-2020 results from the State and Federal accountability systems for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District.
Background: Each school year, staff presents to the Board of Education an annual review of the results of the State and Federal accountability systems for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD).
Status Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, California passed Senate Bill 98 which waived the administration of the California Assessment of Student Progress and Performance (CAASPP) standardized testing for English Language Arts, math, and science. In addition, the summative administration of the English Language Proficiency Assessments for California (ELPAC) and the administration of the Physical Fitness Testing FITNESSGRAM were also suspended for the 2019-20 school year. As a result, the Assessment & Accountability report will focus on local data used to assess the whole child in the three areas connected to the LVJUSD Framework for Success: academic, behavioral, and social emotional.
Fiscal Impact Our District receives reimbursement funding from the State of California for administration of the State testing programs. Expenses beyond the State funding reimbursement are paid from our District-established assessment budget with Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) dollars.
