Quick Summary / Abstract:
Staff is bringing a recommendation forward for our Board of Trustees' approval of a contract for testing and special inspection services.  
Background:
On May 16, 2017, our Board of Trustees approved the pool of firms authorized to provide geotechnical, special inspection, and testing services to our District. One of these firms was CTE Cal, Inc.  
Status:
Our Measure J Bond Program Team reviewed firms in our pool of vendors for all testing and special inspections services as required by the Division of the State Architect (DSA) for the Joe Michell K-8 School Renovation Project. Based on criteria including experience working with projects similar to the Project, proposed team members, and proposed cost, staff recommends awarding the contract for these services to CTE Cal, Inc.  
Fiscal Impact:
The recommended contract amount is two hundred fifty one thousand nine hundred four dollars ($251,904.00). This is a Measure J funded project.  
Superintendent's Recommendation
The Superintendent's recommendation is that our Board of Trustees approve the award of contract for testing and special inspection services for the Joe Michell K-8 School Renovation Project.
